Your daughter’s adventure starts here…

Dear Parents,

For some of you this web site will be your first brush with St Augustine's. Others will have long connections spanning two or three generations of girls. Whether you know St Augustine's inside out or barely at all, our message is the same. We aim to provide your daughters with a unique education which is quite simply the best. Our academic achievement is only part of our success.

Our great strength is that we keep reminding ourselves of what every parent knows: children (and for that matter adults) achieve their best when they are happy. Pressurising girls yields very short term dividends. Stimulating them and passing on to them a joy in learning is far more effective, and indeed much more fun for the teachers.

As an old girl of this school, I was very conscious that I had received a more complete education than many of my peers from far more famous schools, it is that advantage I wish to pass on to the next generation of Augustinians.

Mrs F J Gumley-Mason MA (Cantab)
Headmistress

An established, leading independent Catholic school for girls aged 4 –18 years, sharing the joy of learning.
