We warmly welcome prospective parents and pupils to come and visit St. Augustine’s Priory as the first step. You will gain a good sense of our community and ethos by meeting our Headteacher and some of our pupils. You will view our classrooms and facilities and our beautiful grounds which enjoy magnificent views over London. One to one meetings are held so that you can learn about our Admissions process and receive guidance in accordance to your wishes and aspirations.

Weekly Tours

On Thursdays we offer personal tours and consultations by appointment. You are invited to arrive at 9.15am or at 10 am and will be with us until 11am approximately. The programme includes a meeting with the Headteacher, a consultation with the Admissions team and a pupil-led tour of the school. For parents of EYFS children the Nursery will be toured. Please note that at times these slots are in high demand so you may have to join a waiting list.

Open Days

At our whole school Open Days in the Lent and Michaelmas terms you have the opportunity to tour the school while it is in full swing and enjoy meeting our pupils, our teachers and representatives from our parent association.   

Spring Open Day, Saturday 10th May 2014 and Saturday 9th May 2015. We will be running two sessions. The first session is from 10 am- 12 noon and  second session is from 1pm- 3pm. Register now to attend

Autumn Open Day, Saturday 11th October 2014. We will be running two sessions. The first session is from 10 am- 12 noon and  second session is from 1pm- 3pm. Register now to attend

Sixth Form applicants are welcome to attend an Sixth Form Taster Evening on Wednesday 1st October 2014 at 5pm.

Assessments and Entrance Exams

Girls are mainly admitted to St Augustine’s Priory at 4+ (Prep I), 11+ (Form III), 13+ (UIV) and 16+ (Sixth Form). Occasionally places arise in other years and information about available places can be obtained from the Admissions Office. Once a completed Application Form is received your daughter’s name will be placed on the Applications Register appropriate for her age and will be considered should a vacancy arise.

Following demand, we are accepting registrations for entry in September 2014 at 9+ and 10+ as well as our usual entry points.

Please note that registrations submitted after the closing dates stipulated below will be considered in the event of place availability.

Please note that we are an all-through school from Nursery to Sixth Form. Internal candidates will automatically make the transition to the next stage of the school and need not reapply. Admissions dates and examinations detailed below are for External candidates only. Internal candidates at 11 plus and 16 plus may apply for Scholarships and Exhibitions. The Selection Day, which will include examinations in English, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning as well as a creative activity will take place on Saturday 17th January 2015. Following Selection Day, shortlists are made on the basis of examination performance. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to return for a 15 minute interview, after which places are offered.

The interview provides an opportunity for the candidate to demonstrate her interests, personality and abilities. It also allows the interviewer to add context to the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination and to ascertain what contribution she might make to the general life of the School.

Candidates wishing to apply for Scholarships/Exhibitions should submit a separate Award Application form. These candidates will be assessed as laid out in the Scholarship and Exhibition Awards booklet or in the relevant section on the Admissions page of our website.

 

Lower Sixth Admission (16+)

Closing date for registration for 2015 places is noon on Friday 7th November 2014.  Applications submitted after this deadline will be considered in the case of availability.

Pupils are then invited for a formal interview on w/c Monday 24th November 2014, to which they are asked to bring along their latest school report and, if appropriate, the results of their mock examinations.


Conditional offers are made on the basis of interview. The minimum offer will require the student to have obtained GCSE Grade A in the four subjects chosen for AS Level study plus at least Grade B in two other subjects including English and Mathematics. This offer will be confirmed on receipt of the results in August 2015. Academic performance, potential, and the ability to demonstrate commitment to full involvement in the School’s life, for example, through Sport or Music, will be key factors in the decision making process.

On receipt of a conditional offer, an Acceptance Deposit of £1400 is required by the School. If, subsequently, the conditions are not met by the student, the Acceptance Deposit will be fully refunded.

16 plus academic scholarship application forms and fees deadline is STRICTLY noon on Thursday 16th October 2014 and candidates wishing to apply for an academic scholarship should submit a separate Award Application form. External scholarship candidates should ensure they have registered by this date. These candidates will be assessed as laid out in the Scholarship and Exhibition Awards booklet or in the relevant section on the Admissions page of our website.

For those parents who wish tosettle tuition fees by the spread payment method, fees are collected by Direct Debit in ten month instalments starting on 1st September 2014 and finishing on 1st June 2015, with billed extras taken on the first day of each succeeding term. Extras & Lunches

 

Extras billed (books, lunches, ballet lessons, football club etc.)are payable on the first day of the relevant term.
