Past Events

Alumnae Picnic, Saturday 20th September 2008

The sun shone on our late summer picnic; attended by the likes of Karen Grewal, Moira Creak, Natalie McKenna, Emma Bridgeman and many more old friends who enjoyed a picnic in the grounds and a tour of the new state of the art Science Wing.

Progression, Saturday 13th September 2008

Each year the Headmistress and Staff host a formal dinner in honour of the departing Upper Sixth, as they prepare to make their fledgling steps into the outside world,  journeying to university and beyond.

On occasion an 'Old Girl'  is invited to return and give an after dinner speech, sharing her experiences of life at St Augustine's and news of their career path.

Formal Opening of the Science Wing, Thursday 22nd November 2007

After ten months under construction brought in on time and on budget, the new state of the art Science Wing was officially opened and inaugurated by Bishop George Stack. The ceremonial ribbons were snipped by St Augustine's first Science graduate, Mrs Lenore King (nee Chillman) and by budding Scientist Tallulah Bret-Day (then in Lower  I) who was nominated by her teachers.

The event was also attended by various Alumnae, including Mater Scholae, Mrs Ramsey Hughes (1919 - 1925) accompanied by Mrs Barbara Murray.
