We warmly welcome prospective parents and pupils to come and visit St. Augustine’s Priory as the first step. You will gain a good sense of our community and ethos by meeting our Headteacher and some of our pupils. You will view our classrooms and facilities and our beautiful grounds which enjoy magnificent views over London. One to one meetings are held so that you can learn about our Admissions process and receive guidance in accordance to your wishes and aspirations.

Weekly Tours

On Thursdays we offer personal tours and consultations by appointment. You are invited to arrive at 9.15am or at 10 am and will be with us until 11am approximately. The programme includes a meeting with the Headteacher, a consultation with the Admissions team and a pupil-led tour of the school. For parents of EYFS children the Nursery will be toured. Please note that at times these slots are in high demand so you may have to join a waiting list.

Open Days

At our whole school Open Days in the Lent and Michaelmas terms you have the opportunity to tour the school while it is in full swing and enjoy meeting our pupils, our teachers and representatives from our parent association.   

In addition, Sixth Form applicants  are  welcome to attend an Sixth Form Taster Day in October (The date will be announced in May 2014).

Once you have visited the school the next step is to apply for a place on the Applications Register by completing the Application Form. This is accompanied by a cheque or bank transfer for £75 and a photocopy of the prospective pupil’s birth certificate or passport. Assessments and Entrance Exams

Girls are mainly admitted to St Augustine’s Priory at 4+ (Prep I), 11+ (Form III), 13+ (UIV) and 16+ (Sixth Form). Occasionally places arise in other years and information about available places can be obtained from the Admissions Office. Once a completed Application Form is received your daughter’s name will be placed on the Applications Register appropriate for her age and will be considered should a vacancy arise.

Following demand, we are accepting registrations for entry in September 2014 at 9+ and 10+ as well as our usual entry points.

Please note that registrations submitted after the closing dates stipulated below will be considered in the event of place availability.

Registrations submitted after this deadline will be considered in the case of availability. Selection Day, which will include examinations in English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning and a creative activity, will take place on Saturday 18th January 2014. These will be followed by a 15/20 minute interview with a Senior Staff member in w/c 3rd February. The interview provides an opportunity for the candidate to demonstrate her interests, personality and abilities. It also allows the interviewer to add context to the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination and to ascertain what contribution she might make to the general life of the School. Candidates wishing to apply for Scholarships/Exhibitions should submit a separate Award Application form. The Award process works in conjunction with the entry process and details can be found in the Scholarship & Exhibition Award section of the website.

 Lower Sixth Admission (16+)

Candidates are  welcome to attend an Sixth Form Taster Day (830am- 330pm) and A Level Information Evening (7pm) on Thursday 3rd October 2013  at which Heads of Departments explain details of the courses on offer.

Registration forms and fees, and if applicable, Scholarship application forms and fees should be submitted by 2nd December 2013. Applications submitted after this deadline will be considered in the case of availability. Pupils are then invited for a formal interview in w/c Monday 10th February 2014, to which they are asked to bring along their latest school report and, if appropriate, the results of their mock examinations. 

Details of the Sixth Form Scholarship are in the Scholarship and Exhibition Applications section of the Admissions page on our website. Conditional offers are made on the basis of interview. The GCSE grades required for the subjects chosen for AS Level study are available in the Sixth Form Handbook.  This offer will be confirmed on receipt of the results in August 2014. Academic performance and potential, and the ability to demonstrate commitment to full involvement in the School’s life, for example, through Sport or Music, will be key factors in the decision making process.

 On receipt of a conditional offer, an Acceptance Deposit of £1400 is required by the School. If, subsequently, the conditions are not met by the student, the Acceptance Deposit will be fully refunded.

Scholarship & Exhibition Applications

Academic Scholarships are awarded to internal and external candidates at 11+, 13+ and 16+.

Music and Sport Exhibitions are awarded at 11+ and 13+ to internal and external candidates.

14+  Academic Scholarships and Exhibitions will be awarded exceptionally this year to internal candidates only. Existing St Augustine’s pupils who will be rising into Lower V in September 2014 are eligible to apply.

Sibling Discount

A discount is awarded to siblings of pupils at St Augustine’s Priory. The discount is as follows:

For those parents who wish to settle tuition fees by the spread payment method, a standing order mandate is available on request. Cheques or transfers are acceptable.

Please remember that the extras billed (books, lunches, ballet lessons, football club etc) are payable on the first day of the relevant term. 

A term’s notice, in writing, is required to being or discontinue School lunches, or to begin or discontinue an optional subject. 

The terms and conditions regulating the payment of fees and deposits are set out in the School’s statement of policy on admission and the payment of fees on the reverse of the application form.
