Apply as soon as possible, Job start: September 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The School is a Catholic, Independent day school for girls and is located in the London Borough of Ealing, in a pleasant tree-lined location.

We need a teacher to teach these instruments children between Year 3 and 13 and guide each pupil to develop their musical skills. You will encourage all pupils to gain enjoyment from music making and thereby enrich their education.

We do not envisage the saxophone being taught until Year 7. There is a special urgency to develop the clarinet at the present time. The school has a Senior Orchestra and developing a Wind Band is now a priority. You will need to be prepared to take group rehearsals – this matter can be discussed with the Director of Music. At present, there is approximately 10 hours work.

You must be able to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and staff and flexibility is important!

You will have self-employed status.

Applicants must apply to the School for an application form and other relevant information (to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) and obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure, via the Criminal Records Bureau in order to be considered for this post. Please state two referees.

We are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and expect all staff at the School to share this commitment, and to sign & abide by our Code of Conduct.
